Pointe Vicente Lighthouse
When traveling around the coast near San Pedro, California, you most definitely should make a stop at the Pointe Vicente Lighthouse. Besides this place having some great views, it is also reported to be quite haunted. The ghost that seems to favor this site is believed to be the wife of the first light keeper who fell to her death one foggy evening off the nearby cliff. Apparently, all was normal with this lighthouse until one day the Coast Guard decided to black out the side of the light that was becoming bothersome to nearby residents. Ever since, this spirit of a tall woman with long hair has been seen strolling around the grounds in a flowing gown. Some locals say that she has returned and become lost again in this newly created darkness. Pointe Vicente Lighthouse is located at 31550 Palos Verdes Drive and is only open to the public on the second Saturday of the month between 10:00am and 3:00pm.
